“Total Rewards” Is the Winning Approach in Talent

Benefit News noted that “the economic downturn and increased
competition for the best talent are leading companies to adopt a
more holistic approach to total rewards” and that work/life programs
are a crucial element of this approach. That's good news for your
organization, since you offer LifeCare to your employees!
However, merely offering total rewards-oriented
benefits isn't enough, according to the experts consulted in the
article. They say that companies have to be “much more effective”
in communicating about their benefits offerings. Tom McMullen, the
U.S. reward practice leader for the Hay Group, says that communicating
effectively about the notion of total rewards is a differentiator
for corporations seeking to hire and retain the best talent.
