“It’s interesting to note that financial issues topped this year’s list
of employees’ work/ife concerns,” says Marianne Stook, Vice President of Marketing Services
at LifeCare. “In fact, another LifeCare poll conducted in September 2003 revealed that 33
percent of employees claimed that they have no financial plan in place to fund their children’s
college education. Clearly, people would benefit from professional guidance and support
when it comes to their finances. So I’d like to encourage clients to remind their employees
about LifeCare’s comprehensive financial service offerings.”
Stook reminds clients that employees seeking assistance with credit repair,
debt management and debt consolidation are eligible to receive up to three free telephonic
consultations with financial planners. Plus, LifeCare’s specialists provide information
and referrals on financing major life events such as purchasing a home; investing and saving
for college; estate planning; budget analysis and planning; and more. In addition, LifeCare
partners with Sallie Mae to provide employees with access to college loans and scholarship
opportunities.
“Employees need to be reminded that help is available to them from LifeCare,”
notes Stook, “particularly with financial issues that they may not traditionally associate
with their work/life program.” Contact your account manager to learn about the many different
vehicles we offer to help employees with financial issues.
