Letter from the President
Dear Friends:

As our country continues to cope with war and a troubled economy, we’d like to remind you that LifeCare is here for you and your employees. Over the past months, we've offered a wealth of timely information and resources designed to help managers in your organization, your employees and their families manage the stress of these extraordinary times. Now, we’re pleased to offer a new “Emergency Preparedness Kit” that contains additional information on war and terrorism from government and other reliable sources. The kit includes:

Coping with the Threat of Terrorism

Helping Children Cope During Times of War

Coping with Military Deployment

Be Ready -- Preparing for a Terrorist Attack

Biological, Chemical and Radiological Terrorism

LifeCare Emergency Family Plan Cards

and more!

Remember, we also offer a special guide for employers on preparing the workplace for emergency situations.

In the months ahead, bear in mind that it’s not always easy for employees to seek help with concerns about difficult issues such as war and safety from terrorism. Therefore, I encourage you to remind them of a few key points regarding their LifeCare program. First, our services are entirely confidential; no one other than a LifeCare specialist will ever know that an employee called or e-mailed us for assistance. Second, the best way for employees to cope with these extraordinary issues (or any life event, for that matter) is to arm themselves with knowledge; contacting LifeCare is the first step toward greater peace of mind. Third, remind employees that you want them to take advantage of our services during stressful times like these for two simple reasons: 1) you care about their well-being, and 2) employees who are coping successfully with their day-to-day challenges will make their best contributions at work. Finally, remind employees that LifeCare’s specialists are standing by 24/7 to serve their needs. So there’s never a bad time to contact us!

With all that’s going on in our world, this really is the perfect time to remind employees that you provide them with complete work/life support through LifeCare. We’d be happy to help you create customized promotions to accomplish this. Simply contact your account manager if you’d like our assistance.

As always, we value your feedback and would appreciate knowing how we can serve you better. Call us at 800-873-4636, e-mail us at connection@lifecare.com, or fax us at 203-291-3571.

Sincerely,

John B. Place
