Lipton Child Care Centers Added to LifeCare's Backup Care Connection Preferred Provider Network

LifeCare recently added Lipton Corporate Child Care Centers to the preferred provider network of its Backup Care ConnectionSM program, a program that helps people secure alternative care arrangements for children and seniors when their regular care arrangements break down. With the addition of the Lipton Centers, the company's backup care coverage has been expanded in the Manhattan, Westchester County, Jersey City and Washington, D.C. areas, all of which have a high concentration of employers and working families who would benefit significantly from this type of program.

“America's employers are losing more than 30 billion dollars a year in absenteeism and reduced productivity due to child and elder care problems,” said LifeCare CEO, Peter G. Burki. “By expanding our coverage in metro areas like New York and Washington, we give employers the ability to put an end to some of these losses. Equally important, we help working families get the backup assistance they need and the peace of mind they deserve.”

LifeCare launched its Backup Care ConnectionSM program in February. The program features:

a large and high-quality network of nearly 2,000 certified child care facilities and 75,000 credentialed in-home caregivers

24/7/365 access to an award-winning call center for the highest quality customer care, unlike other companies who outsource this critical function to a third party

national coverage, so that employees from headquarters to the smallest office are covered

guaranteed and direct placement in a local facility or with an in-home caregiver

solutions for both child AND elder care to meet the needs of the “sandwich” generation

very low co-pays, so that employees are encouraged to use the program

LifeCare already partners with Knowledge Learning Corporation, the nation's leading provider of quality child care and development programs, to deliver the Backup Care Connection program. “We're delighted to have found another partner in Lipton that is also strongly dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality care,” Burki said.
