E-Newsletter Delivers Information, Utilization and a Stronger ROI

  E-Newsletter

Educating your employees about their work/life benefits not only raises utilization but it also strengthens your return on investment. LifeCare’s monthly e-newsletter helps you accomplish all of this—without lifting a finger!

Each issue highlights a variety of work/life topics (family, education, financial issues, etc.) and provides a “teaser” that links readers directly to the LifeCare site, where they can view additional information on the subject. Links also connect employees to a variety of different tools such as monthly seminars, provider searches, calculators, a host of educational materials, and more.

“Like all of our promotional tools, this e-newsletter was created to help our clients effectively market their LifeCare program with little to no effort on their part,” notes Marianne Stook, LifeCare’s vice president of marketing services. “And the fact that it’s a monthly publication is important because steady, ongoing communication with employees is critical to raising utilization rates and maximizing ROI.”

Stook’s point is strongly confirmed by spikes in the numbers of client employees visiting the LifeCare web site following receipt of the e-newsletter:

In February, one of our retail clients experienced a 188 percent rise in traffic to its LifeCare web site the week after it distributed an issue of the newsletter to employees.

In April, one of our telecommunications clients saw its LifeCare web utilization rise 294 percent in the after employees received an issue of the e-newsletter.

In July, LifeCare web utilization jumped 232 percent for a financial services client that issued the newsletter to its employees.

Recent issues of the newsletter have featured articles about:

parenting issues for those with teens

selecting the right college

repaying educational debts

financial issues (such as investing, the power of compound interest, etc.)

safety tips for car travel during summer vacations

The newsletter is initially e-mailed to clients’ Human Resources department, which distributes it to employees. For employers who limit regular promotional e-mails, LifeCare can develop a one-time campaign that promotes the newsletter and encourages employees to subscribe. Employees can subscribe to the newsletter on their own via our web site and receive a new issue every month directly from LifeCare. LifeCare’s e-newsletter offers readers clear, concise information about better managing all aspects of their personal and professional lives.
