LifeCare's Elisa Kirkhorn Appointed to Work/Life Coalition

Elisa Kirkhorn, account manager at LifeCare, has been appointed to the board of the Metropolitan Washington Work/Life Coalition. Kirkhorn was one of 12 inductees selected from among the dozens across the region who responded to the Coalition's call for members. Members are chosen each year to fill vacancies created by those whose terms have been completed.

The Coalition, established in 1995, provides professionals in the greater-Washington, D.C. area with innovative, practical, and cost-effective work/life information and resources. During her two-year term, Kirkhorn's responsibilities will include participation in research projects that address current work/life issues and the coordination of special events and programs that provide support to employers on work/life issues.

“I'm excited about the opportunity to volunteer my time and work/life expertise for such a worthwhile cause as that of the Coalition,” says Kirkhorn, who is based in Herndon, Virginia. She is responsible for implementing and managing work/life programs for LifeCare's public and private sector clients. She specializes in promotional campaigns that build awareness of work/life programs and drive utilization among employees. Kirkhorn is also a member of Corporate Voices for Working Families.
