LifeCare Enhances Health & Wellness Resources!

Your employees’ health and wellness needs are continually evolving. That’s why we’ve once again enhanced the online health-related resources (at no additional charge to LifeCare clients).

Specifically, we’ve expanded our online health content to address entirely new topics such as domestic violence, genetics, leukemia, women and coronary artery disease, and what to expect when having surgery, among others. Our content also addresses:

Medical conditions—breast lumps, diabetic ketoacidosis, food poisoning, roseola, salmonella, sciatica, and many more.

Treatments—acupuncture, alternative diet programs, homeopathy, light therapy, magnetic field therapy, radiation therapy for cancer, and more.

General Wellness—child car seats, crib safety, elder abuse, managing job stress, preventing poisoning in young children, and more.

How-To Instructions—cast and splint care tips, cleaning and bandaging a wound, contact lens care, emergency first aid for heat stroke, protecting your skin from the sun, safety tips when taking anticoagulants, and more.

We've also provided new information about several medical tests (clinical breast exams, hysteroscopy, pediatric preparation for medical testing, and more) as well as a variety of medications. Our online health and wellness content is provided by our partner, Healthwise, Incorporated, a highly respected nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people make better health decisions.

Emotional Health Quizzes
We've also added 19 interactive online quizzes that help employees evaluate their emotional health. Quiz topics include anger, anxiety, depression, lifestyle, patience, self-esteem and more. Employees who take the interactive quizzes are given a score based upon their answers. This score is then explained in detail and employees are also given helpful suggestions on how to improve their scores and whether they might need to seek professional assistance.

All quizzes are professionally researched and developed by psychologists and all have been subjected to reliability and validity studies to assure the highest precision and quality. The quizzes enable your employees to self-monitor their emotional well-being in privacy and confidence. LifeCare clients can contact their account manager for a sample promotional announcement that will make your employees aware of these new enhancements.

If you're not a LifeCare client and would like more information on any of our health and wellness resources, please call us at 866-675-3751.
