Allen Baler Joins LifeCare® as Senior Vice
President of Marketing and Business Development
WESTPORT, Conn., September 7, 2006 – LifeCare®,
Inc., provider of comprehensive specialty care services and a longtime leader
in the work/life industry, today announced that Allen Baler has joined the organization
as senior vice president of Marketing and Business Development. Baler is responsible
for guiding the organization's overall marketing strategy and for tactically
positioning LifeCare to grow in its three market segmentsEmployer-Sponsored
Work/Life Programs, Successful AgingSM Services, and Government Clients.
He also is responsible for sales and marketing communications, public relations,
and for assisting with the development of product development and sales strategies.

Prior to joining LifeCare, Baler served as vice president of
MBI, Inc., in Norwalk, Connecticut, where he was responsible for marketing,
brand and product management, production/sourcing, licensing, customer service,
staff development and budgeting. He worked at MBI for over 10 years, holding
positions of increasing responsibility.
Baler began his career as a Research Associate with American
Practice Management. His work resulted in co-authoring articles which appeared
both in a professional journal and two books.
Baler graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in English. He and his wife, Erin, reside in New Canaan, Connecticut.
